What We Do

Five ways we serve the community.

Our People

Our highly professional and experienced instructors are the heart of our program. Their passion for enhancing physical and mental wellness drives our ability to establish healthy lifestyles. Every day, we connect with, learn with, and uplift the people we teach.

Our Seminars

Health problems including depression, disease and obesity are increasing at alarming rates. Our interactive workshops and seminars help diminish these risks by encouraging people to make better choices every day — improving how they think, feel, act and look.

Our Community

Healthy people are happier, more productive people. We increase awareness about healthy living and educate individuals on making positive lifestyle changes — a force for positive action that helps decrease the financial burden of healthcare.

Our Partners

We are fully accountable to impact every life we touch so that CHOICE can continue to endure and thrive. Our success is measured by the lives we improve — and with that, we give back to our sponsors, partners and ourselves.

Our Grants

Individuals who achieve their goals in the CHOICE program may apply for a grant to further their education toward a healthcare career — nutritionist, personal trainer, physical education teacher and more. Grants are furnished upon board approval.

The CHOICE Vision

Knowledge that changes lives.

The primary goal of CHOICE is to educate underprivileged individuals, through our interactive seminars, on how to make lifestyle choices that will set them on a path for a more productive and healthy life. Ultimately we aim for our CHOICE program achievers to use the knowledge they have gained to make a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others.

Increasing Public Awareness

CHOICE has made it a top priority to increase public awareness about the benefits of embracing a healthy and active lifestyle as well as overall wellness. By working synergistically with community leaders, schools and other fitness organizations, CHOICE will attain its goals of making a big difference in our community and for generations to come.

Jason Katz

Jason brings more than twenty years of education and training in the healthcare and fitness industry. His desire to enrich the lives of others led to an extraordinary track record of service — in the U.S. Air Force Special Forces Unit, as a law enforcement officer, and as a medic/firefighter. While in the military he served a tour of duty in the Gulf War and sustained injuries making him a disabled veteran. His tenacity and passion for health and fitness drove him to earn the bodybuilding title of Mr. Florida All-Natural in 1997.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. He has owned two fitness companies — The Circle of Life Fitness, Inc. and The Absolute Evolution, Inc. — transforming bodies, minds and spirits for over 20 years through personal fitness and nutrition instruction, post-rehabilitation training and motivational speaking. The Circle of Lifesaving, Inc. has certified thousands of people in CPR/AED, choking response, OSHA bloodborne-pathogens training, first aid, water safety and swim instruction.

Recognizing that health issues are especially prevalent in underprivileged communities, Jason began conducting seminars in local community and civic centers in 2011 — and the positive results led to the founding of the C.H.O.I.C.E. Foundation. Jason resides in Hollywood, Florida with his wife and two young sons.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Answers to common questions.

Everything you need to know about CHOICE seminars, grants, donations and how to get involved. Still have a question? Reach out.

How will CHOICE help my family?

    +
CHOICE aims to help individuals by providing health and fitness education and spreading awareness about disease prevention to underprivileged children and families. CHOICE believes that knowledge is the most powerful weapon for combating unhealthy lifestyles that lead to depression and disease, and hopes that its teachings will motivate and encourage individuals to lead healthier and more successful lives.

How does someone register for a CHOICE seminar, and is there a fee?

    +
CHOICE seminars are free for all participants. Seminars can be specially hosted for groups of 5 or more, or you may participate in one of our regularly scheduled seminars. Please inquire with Jason at jason@choice-foundation.org for information on scheduling a seminar.

What is CHOICE Foundation and why was it started?

    +
CHOICE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that educates underprivileged individuals throughout the U.S. on the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices that lead to a more productive and healthy life. In following the CHOICE program, these individuals are provided the educational foundation necessary to launch a career in fitness and healthcare instruction. CHOICE was started in 2011 by Jason Katz to benefit children and families across the country, after Jason realized he needed a foundation, small staff and Board of Directors to manage the many personal requests for help he received daily.

How does CHOICE fulfill its mission of helping young people?

    +
Individuals who achieve their goals in following the CHOICE program may apply for a grant to further their education toward a healthcare career — including nutritionist, personal trainer, motivational speaker, physical education teacher and many more. Successful applicants receive their grant upon approval from the Board of Directors.

What are the priorities in selecting CHOICE scholarship recipients?

    +
CHOICE measures applicants in three areas: (A) successful completion of CHOICE program work; (B) an understanding and clear desire to help others — especially youth — live healthier lives through education in fitness principles and disease prevention; and (C) a focus on continuing education toward a career path within the health and fitness industry.

In what communities does CHOICE operate?

    +
Currently, CHOICE is focused on providing services to South Florida communities; however, through its website, CHOICE is able to help individuals across the nation.

How will CHOICE find new scholarship recipients?

    +
CHOICE finds individuals through its website, social media and other marketing methods, and is open to all applicants who want to make a difference for themselves and others. New projects and programs are discovered through research by board members and staff, following and upholding the mission of CHOICE.

What are the sources of CHOICE funds?

    +
CHOICE is a public foundation. Funds are generated by grants, donations, fundraisers, and generous individual and corporate donors.

How can I contribute to the charitable work of CHOICE?

    +
CHOICE is a public charity and must continue to demonstrate public support in order to carry on its philanthropic efforts, so contributions are always welcome. We currently accept cash, check and money order — checks and money orders may be mailed to the CHOICE Foundation at 304 Westwood Cir N, West Palm Beach, FL 33411. All donations are acknowledged in writing, and tax deductions may be made to the extent permitted by law. Digital giving options are coming soon.

How often does the CHOICE Board of Directors meet?

    +
The CHOICE Board of Directors meets four times per year — once per quarter.
